Itinerary

Day 1: Cuzco

Arrive at Cuzco in the early morning and transfer to the Hotel Monasterio for a one night stay in a deluxe oxygen-enriched room. In the afternoon enjoy a private tour of this historic city, with its colonial buildings and local markets. Spend the evening at leisure.

Day 2: Cuzco - Sacred Valley

Take a full day to enjoy a private tour of the Sacred Valley, starting at the city of Chincheros. Built on the remains of a typical Inca town, it is a fascinating network of streets. Marvel at the skills of the local people as they demonstrate their weaving techniques and other traditional crafts.

Afterwards, enjoy a delicious lunch at the Hotel Rio Sagrado, situated beside the Urubamba River. Continue this magical journey as you travel along the valley to Ollantaytambo, a fascinating Inca town that still retains its original architecture. Spend your evening at leisure.

Day 3: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cuzco

Today an early morning transfer takes you to the train station of Poroy from where you will travel along the dramatic Urubamba River to Machu Picchu aboard the luxurious Hiram Bingham train.

At midday the train will arrive in Aguas Calientes from where your guide will escort you to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu by bus. Take a private tour to experience the other-worldly magic of the sanctuary of Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most outstanding archaeological wonders of the world.

Later in the afternoon return to Cuzco aboard the Hiram Bingham luxury train. Stay overnight at Hotel Monasterio.

Day 4: Arequipa - Colca Canyon

In the morning take a private tour of the nearby Inca ruins.

Later transfer to the airport for your flight to Arequipa where a car (shared service) will be waiting to take you to one of the world’s deepest valleys: the Colca Canyon.

Stay overnight for three nights at Las Casitas del Colca with its delightful cottages providing a rare opportunity to relax and reflect on the beauty and tranquillity of the Colca Valley. Full board is included for the duration of your stay.

Day 5 & 6: Colca Canyon

Relax and enjoy as many of the activities on offer as you wish.  Choose from bird watching and cookery courses to horseback riding and bike rides.  Head to Cruz del Condor to witness the majestic flight of the sacred Andean bird from which it takes its name.

Day 7: Lima & Departure

After lunch transfer to the airport in Arequipa for your flight to Lima and connect with your international flight.
