Itinerary

Day 1: Lima

Upon arrival in Lima, transfer to the Miraflores Park Hotel, a hotel with incredible ocean views. Stay overnight in a wonderful Ocean View Executive Suite for two nights.

Day 2: Lima

After breakfast, spend the morning touring downtown Lima, with its impressive colonial architecture and delightful cobbled squares. Enjoy a fabulous lunch at the Larco Herrera Museum, and view its collection of exceptionally fine pre-Columbian gold and silver. Spend your evening at leisure.

Day 3: Lima - Cuzco

Take an early flight to Cuzco and transfer to the Hotel Monasterio for a two night stay in a deluxe oxygen-enriched room. Take an afternoon walking tour of the city. Later, visit the Pre-Columbian Art Museum, an exceptional museum dedicated to the art of pre-Columbian cultures. Spend your evening at leisure.

Day 4: Cuzco

In the morning enjoy a private tour of the nearby Inca ruins. Spend your afternoon and evening at leisure.

Day 5: Cuzco - Machu Picchu

Today an early morning transfer takes you to the train station of Poroy from where you will travel to Machu Picchu via the luxurious Hiram Bingham train.

At midday the train will arrive in Aguas Calientes from where your guide will escort you to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu by bus. Take a private tour to experience the other-worldly magic of the sanctuary of Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most outstanding archaeological wonders of the world.

After the tour stay one night in a mountain view room at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge the only hotel situated right next to the ruins.

Day 6: Machu Picchu - Sacred Valley

Spend your morning at leisure in Machu Picchu. Entrance fees are included. After an early lunch return to Aguas Calientes to board the Vistadome train to Ollantaytambo. On arrival, visit Ollantaytambo - the last Inca town to still retain its original architecture. Finish the day at the Hotel Rio Sagrado in a deluxe suite.

Day 7: Sacred Valley

Visit the colonial village of Maras, which has been known for its salt mine since before the Inca era.  Continue to Moray, a town noted for its large complex of unusual Inca ruins. These include several enormous terraced circular depressions that were perhaps used to study the effects of different climatic conditions on crops. 

Enjoy a picnic lunch prepared by your hotel, then journey to the the city of Chincheros, built on the remains of a typical Inca settlement. Marvel at the skills of the local people as they demonstrate their weaving techniques and other traditional crafts.

Day 8: Sacred Valley - Lima

This morning transfer to the airport for the flight back to Lima to take your international flight home.
