| Religion |
The Thais are religious people and have a high regard for religious customs and traditions. Dress and conduct should be appropriate when visiting religious sites. Each Buddha image is regarded as a sacred object. Never take a photograph without seeking permission, or do anything that might indicate a lack of respect. When entering the grounds of a Buddhist temple, it is important to remove all footwear. This is both polite and a mark of respect. At the same time visitors should wear appropriate dress.
