Banks
Banks are open from 08:30 to 15:30 Monday to Friday. Some banks keep extended hours for money exchange purposes (07:00 to 09:00 Monday to Friday).

Climate
Thailand enjoys a tropical climate with three distinct seasons: Mar-May Hot Season Average Temperature 38°c June-Oct Rainy Season Average Temperature 30°c Nov-Feb Cool Season Average Temperature 27°c.

Currency
The local currency is the Baht, each Baht is divided into 100 satangs. Foreign currencies and travellers cheques are easily exchanged at banks, hotels or licensed money changers. All major credit cards are widely accepted.

Dress
Light, cool and casual clothing is recommended. Sweaters are needed during cool season evenings or if visiting mountainous areas.

Electricity
Thailand operates on a 220/250 volts AC, 50 cycles.

Religion

The Thais are religious people and have a high regard for religious customs and traditions. Dress and conduct should be appropriate when visiting religious sites. Each Buddha image is regarded as a sacred object. Never take a photograph without seeking permission, or do anything that might indicate a lack of respect. When entering the grounds of a Buddhist temple, it is important to remove all footwear. This is both polite and a mark of respect. At the same time visitors should wear appropriate dress.
