Orient-Express Trains & Cruises encapsulate the romance and tradition of bygone Christmases with an extensive programme of lunch, dinner and day trip departures throughout December this year.

From the moment you step on board you’ll be transported back in time to the golden age of travel, where impeccably dressed stewards will attend to your every need, as you gaze out across the English countryside and indulge in fine wine and an array of sumptuous Christmas dishes.
Guests can look forward to a menu laced with home grown regional delicacies; baby leek and artichoke terrine with warm focaccia served with tomato and truffle dressing, cappuccino of lobster and crayfish bisque; three bird roast served with parmentier potatoes, sautéed sprouts and smoked bacon lardoons with a cranberry and orange jus, great British cheeseboard with homemade chutney and champagne Christmas pudding to finish.
The Christmas menu will be served on board from 1st to the 22nd December.
As well as regular lunch and dinner departures operating throughout the month, there are a number of longer day trips perfect for the discerning-shopper or city-lover.
If the beautiful voices of Cathedral choirs lift your sprits, then why not join the first of the Christmas carol trips to Chester on the Northern Belle, departing from Bath or Bristol on 5th December? Or take the British Pullman from London, to Canterbury on 6th or 13th December or to Salisbury on 12th December. All trips include a delicious bunch served on the outbound journey, entrance to a carol recital at the city’s historic Cathedral and a five course dinner with champagne and wine on the inbound journey. If the lights and razzmatazz of London are calling, then treat yourself to the West End Show trip, which combines tickets to a top musical and free time to visit all your favourite haunts in London, departing on 8th December on Northern Belle from Birmingham, Chester, Liverpool or Manchester. If tennis is your preferred spectator sport, guests can opt for tickets to the Masters and enjoy all the action from a seat in the Grand Tier box. Prices on this date start from £290 per person.
