Botswana was first inhabited by the semi-nomadic San people, bantu-speaking tribes from the north who moved into the area before the first millennium.

Culture: The Okavango Delta is one of the last totally unspoiled areas in Africa and one of the world’s largest inland water systems.

Climate: A semi-arid climate, hot and dry. Rainfalls can be expected during summer time from November to March. April to November is the driest time; December to March can be hot and rainy with thunderstorms. In the winter months of July and August the evenings are cool and the days warm and clear.
