Throughout December the British Pullman and Northern Belle trains will offer their usual schedule of Christmas lunch, dinner and shopping trips along side even more dates to visit Christmas concerts, markets and festivals.
Christmas at Chatsworth House is offered on 15 November on board the British Pullman for those keen to get ahead with the festivities. This trip includes brunch on the outward journey, entrance to Chatsworth House and a five course dinner with champagne and wine on the return journey. Historic Chatsworth House, set in the magnificent landscape of Derbyshire’s Peak District National Park, is specially decorated for this magical time with candles, Christmas trees, and beautiful foliage and decorations. In addition to this, there are ample opportunities for those who wish to indulge in a spot of Christmas shopping with the on-site farm shop, garden shop or three gift shops where you can pick up unique gifts for loved ones. Price per person is £300 and departs from London Victoria.
Following the popularity of the annual Lincoln Christmas Market day trip on board British Pullman, Northern Belle will also operate this festive day out in 2006. On the outward journey enjoy a light brunch with Bucks Fizz. Using your free time, pick up some unique gifts from the Christmas
market and wonder through the cobble stoned streets of this picturesque city. On your return enjoy a four course meal with champagne and wine. Price per person is £245 for the Northern Belle departing 8 December from Crewe, Manchester & Sheffield and £310 for the British Pullman on 9 December from London Victoria.
Another new excursion for 2006 aboard Northern Belle is the Medieval Christmas Festival held each year in the Yorkshire market town of Skipton.
Brunch is served on the outbound journey with time on arrival to browse for unusual gifts amongst the market stalls and shops along the high street, transformed with strolling medieval musicians, dancing and other entertainment for the occasion. A four course dinner is served on the return journey. Departs 10 December from Chester, Crewe and Manchester and costs £245 per person.
Visit three of the countries most beautiful cathedral cities Chester, Canterbury and Salisbury for traditional Christmas Carol Concerts and seasonal shopping. On the 7 and 14 December Northern Belle will visit Chester and British Pullman will visit Canterbury, with an extra carol concert trip to Salisbury on 13 December on board the Pullman train. As well as dining on a champagne brunch and four course dinner the trip includes attendance to a candlelit carol concert within the cathedral or free time to explore these famous cathedral cities at your leisure. The price per person is £290 for the British Pullman trip to Canterbury/Salisbury from London Victoria and £245 for the Northern Belle trip to Chester departing from Coventry and Northampton (7 Dec) and Bristol and Cardiff (14 Dec).
