Madonna Poster

One of the most popular of Fix Masseau's posters for the VSOE is the girl in the sleeping compartment, now known as the 'Madonna' after a heroine of Dekobra's novel "The Madonna of the Sleeping Cars". During the 'Belle Epoque' of European train travel Fix-Masseau came to the fore as the premier French railway poster artist. Indeed, his distinctive style became the 'New Art' of the era. Today, his posters remain as popular as in the golden days of rail travel. The poster is printed  in France on high-quality art paper and measures 62 x 100cm / 24 x 39".
