Gardening with Anna Dourado - Friday 16th May 2008 - SOLD OUT
Anna Dourado has added another level of excellence to the gardening team at Le Manoir for over three years. She is the expert whom gardening experts turn.
Gardening is Anna's passion and her teaching is infectious. As a scientist at heart, she is eager to explore questions and find solutions.
Anna started gardening as a teenager in Malaysia, in direct competition with her father, who was renowned for his collection of orchid species. Roses were not grown in the lowland tropics at that time but Anna was determined to create her own rose garden.
She started with a rose named 'Bravo' from Thailand and soon visitors came to see Anna's roses rather than her father's orchids. She now plays a vital part in the development of the Malaysian and kitchen gardens at Le Manoir.
Join us to enhance your own horticultural knowledge. Alongside The Raymond Blanc Cookery School Tutor, Anna will present a vegetable gardening class, which will offer bespoke gardening advice, ideas for your own garden and an enlightening vegetable cookery demonstration. During the day you will also enjoy a Ruinart Champagne reception, a superb 3-course lunch and accompanying wines.
