DISCOVER ORIENT-EXPRESS FROM THE PALM OF YOUR HAND - ORIENT-EXPRESS LAUNCHES ITS FIRST IPAD APP

17th May 2012 – Luxury hotel company and sophisticated adventure travel operator, Orient-Express has launched its first app for the iPad. The brand new app, available now, complements the recent successful launch of Orient-Express' latest edition of its 'Traveller' magazine. 

The ‘Orient-Express Traveller’ app, showcases the distinctive world of Orient-Express and features a host of insider tips, stunning photography, video clips and maps of the many unique travel experiences available with Orient-Express’ collection of hotels, trains and cruises. Its editorially led, inspiring content gives recommendations on family travel, celebrations and masterclasses to name a few. 

Integrated film clips bring the destinations to life, interactive maps allow users to explore the worldwide collection of Orient-Express, and the regularly updated content currently takes users from the ‘Heavenly Seven’ swimming pools, off the beaten track  to the temples of Angkor Wat, truffle hunting and cookery classes in the hills of Florence at Villa San Michele, to behind the scenes on Orient-Express’ latest project the new all suite Palacio Nazarenas hotel in Cuzco, which opens in June 2012.

With a collection spanning land and water, adventure and relaxation, strong local presence and international acclaim encompassing 37 hotels, six tourist trains, two river cruise operations and a restaurant, the new app will play host to ideas, dreams and plans of users looking for their own journey like no other. 

Available now to download free from the App Store, users will find a wealth of information to discover the world of Orient-Express.
