Throughout December, the festive journeys feature visits to the UK’s finest Cathedral Cities and Christmas Markets such as the historic city of Bath and Carols at Kings College, Canterbury. The British Pullman and Northern Belle’s vintage carriages evoke the era of the golden age of travel. The elegant 1920s and 30s interiors are bedecked at Christmas time, setting the mood for festive celebrations. Liveried Stewards serve traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings as the trains wend their way through the British Countryside.The British Pullman’s Christmas journeys depart from London Victoria to the historic Cathedral Cities of Bath, Canterbury, Lincoln and Salisbury with prices starting from £395 per person. There are also regular lunches served on round trip journeys from London Victoria travelling through the British Countryside, prices start from £370 per person.
The Northern Belle’s Christmas journeys depart from many of the UK’s major Northern cities including Birmingham, Cardiff, Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham. Christmas lunch is served on round trip routes with prices starting from £250 per person. The Northern Belle also offers a Christmas dinner departing from Dundee and Perth priced at £250 per person.
Guests can do their Christmas shopping on board the trains and take home a memento of the trip from the Signature Boutique. New for this year is the British Pullman crockery, designed exclusively for the train by William Edwards. The fine bone china tea set for two, priced at £90, makes the ideal Christmas gift.
