Copacabana Palace opens brand new luxury Spa
October 2007 - In order to remain at the top of the hospitality industry and to meet demanding international standards, investments are continuously being made at the Copacabana Palace. Over the last two years the hotel has engaged in a series of refurbishments and building work, improving both the service levels and the products offered by the hotel.
The first step was a total refurbishment of the Pool Suites in the Tower Wing Building, completed at the end of 2005. Next was the restoration of the Antique Casino, which was reopened on September 29th 2006 as three brand new conference rooms. With these rooms restored to their former glory the Hotel’s Engineering Team turned its attention to the development of the Copacabana Palace Spa. |
The concept behind the Copacabana Palace Spa is to blend well-being and a healthy life style with technology, quality, elegance and tradition. These are brought together in a building designed by the internationally renowned designer, Michel Jouannet. Situated close to the Tower Wing Building, the Spa branded the Copacabana Palace Spa has all the luxury, exclusivity and excellence that only the most traditional hotel in Latin America can offer.
The Copacabana Palace Spa is located over three floors and boast a complete Fitness Centre, a relaxing ‘Timeless Lounge’, a boutique, two changing rooms, a Spa Bar with selected and specifically developed products and seven luxurious treatment rooms, five of which are individual rooms and two suites for simultaneous treatments. The Spa also offers a Special Customer Service and Spa Cuisine with an exclusive menu developed by Francesco Carli, The international renowned Chef of the Cipriani Restaurant.
A treatment range offering a complete and harmonious mix of products has been chosen following complete and detailed research of the best Spa products of the world. The Spa team was selected from the best professionals in the market and underwent 240 hours of training resulting in an expert team.
Amongst the many innovative treatments available there are two completely new treatment packages designed exclusively for the Copacabana Palace Spa: the ‘Amazon’ and ‘Bossa Nova’.
The ‘Bossa Nova’ package begins with a sophisticated facial and body massage to the rhythm of Bossa Nova followed by the opportunity to sample the delights of the Spa Cuisine Menu. A treatment suitable for all types of skin, this offers an excellent total body experience.
The ‘Amazon’ package was designed with the life style of the Amazonian natives in mind, focusing on harmony with nature and the promotion of well-being. The treatment begins with a hydro massage with a delicate essence of Amazonian Herbs, followed by a special massage and ending with a meal from our Spa Cuisine Menu. |
