Your Journey | Clough William-Ellis' lifelong concern was with “Architecture and Landscape Design”. Portmerion village, built on his own private peninsula off the coast of Snowdonia, allowed him to give his ideas a gloriously unique, physical expression. This eclectic village was famously used for the filming of the cult 1960's television show “The Prisoner” and is the spiritual home of the Portmeirion style of pottery.
A delicious brunch with Bucks Fizz is served on your outward journey to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Here you board the Ffestiniog Railway narrow-gauge railway for the scenic journey through the Snowdonia National Park to Porthmadog and then a take the short coach transfer to along the cob to Portmeirion. At Portmeirion your time is your own to explore its charming architecture set in beautiful grounds.
At the end of the visit you are taken on a guided coach tour ending at the Northern Belle. A glass of chilled champagne is served as soon as you board the train, followed by a four-course supper accompanied by half a bottle of wine.

What to Wear | Smart day wear is appropriate. You are asked not to wear jeans or trainers. Please remember you will be outdoors for part of your time in Portmeirion.

Access | The Ffestiniog train is not on a level with the platform slight climb to board. Portmeirion has slight restrictions on certain areas to wheelchairs due to steep steps.
