What's Included

Brunch with Bellini on outward journey, guided walking tour of city, coach transfer to Ely and visit to Cathedral, four course supper with champagne and wine on return journey.

Your Journey

Your journey takes you to Cambridge on the banks of the River Cam. Many of the university's 30 colleges line the east bank of the river. Then onto Ely, a small and charming market town, its crowning glory behind the Cathedral. Until the marshes around Ely were drained in the 17th century, the city stood on an island surrounded by miles of swamp and fen.

Brunch with Bellini will be served on your outward journey. On arrival at Whittlesford Station you will be met by your guide who will accompany you on the brief coach transfer to Cambridge. Your guide will then take you on a walking tour of Cambridge which will take in the historic atmosphere of the city and the colleges.

After the tour, you rejoin the coach for the 45 minute journey to Ely to visit its fine Cathedral. The coach will depart from Ely Cathedral for the short transfer to Ely Station to rejoin the British Pullman for your return journey to London Victoria.

A glass of chilled champagne is served as soon as you board the train. This is followed by a four course dinner accompanied by half a bottle of wine.

What to Wear

Smart day wear is appropriate. You are asked not to wear jeans or trainers. Please remember you will be outdoors for most of your time in Cambridge and comfortable walking shoes are advised.
