What's Included

Three course lunch with champagne and wine on outward journey, admission to house and gardens, cream tea at Chartwell, return by coach to London.

Your Journey

Your journey aboard the British Pullman takes you to Chartwell, the home of Sir Winston Churchill from 1924. The house is redolent with atmosphere and full of documents, maps and other memorabilia.

A glass of chilled champagne is served as soon as you board the British Pullman. This is followed by a three course lunch accompanied by half a bottle of wine.

On arrival at Folkestone you will be met by your guide who will accompany you on the 90 minute coach transfer to Chartwell. Here you will have time to visit the house and gardens, view Churchill's own paintings and enjoy a cream tea in the restaurant before the coach takes you back to London.

What to Wear

Smart day wear is appropriate. You are asked not to wear jeans. Please remember you will be outdoors for part of your time at Chartwell.

Access

This journey is rated as reasonable for passengers with special access needs providing they have mobility and can cope with some steps and slopes. The ground floor of the house and most parts of the garden are generally accessible. Braille guides and a virtual tour are available.
