What's Included

Brunch with Bellini on outward journey, admission to house and gardens, five course dinner with champagne, wine and a liqueur on return journey.

Your Journey

Your journey takes you to Harewood House, home to the Lascelles family for over 200 years. Designed by John Carr of York between 1759 and 1772, its spectacular interiors were designed by Robert Adam. The house contains an extensive collection of Chippendale furniture and a fine art collection and stands in acres of grounds landscaped by Capability Brown.

Brunch with Bellini is served on your outward journey. On arrival at York Station you will be met by guides who will give you an insight into the house and surrounding area during the coach journey. At Harewood you can explore the house and gardens at leisure. The coach returns you to the train for the return journey.

A glass of chilled champagne is served as soon as you board the train. This is followed by a five course dinner accompanied with half a bottle of wine and a liqueur to round off your meal.

What to Wear

Smart day wear is appropriate. You are asked not to wear jeans. Please remember you will be outdoors for part of your time at Harewood.

Access

This journey is rated as recommended for passengers with special access needs. There are six steps up to the front door of Harewood House. There is an electric wheelchair lift fitted on the right hand side of the steps. If you have problems then the House Desk staff will be happy to assist. The rooms open to the public are all on one floor.

Access to both the Terrace and Parterre is through the West Garden Gate. There is a ramp up to the Terrace. Both the Terrace and Parterre have gravel paths, but are not too difficult for the experienced wheelchair pusher.
