The Orient Express Corinthian maiden voyages starts in June 2026

The development of Orient Express Sailing Yachts project presented a unique set of challenges, as contemporary standards for safety, crew, and efficiency differ vastly from those of traditional sailing ships. Designing a 1,500-square-meter (16,145-square-foot) sail posed another formidable task; many sailmakers abandoned the idea due to the immense forces involved. Yet, the  engineers at Chantiers de l’Atlantique embraced the challenge, creating a patented sail using carbon fiber-reinforced glass panels instead of standard woven cloth.This innovative sail plan, paired with powerful hull lines, endows Orient Express Corinthian with its unmistakable silhouette and remarkable performance on the open sea.
