THE INN AT PERRY CABIN INAUGURATES NEW SPA ON CHESAPEAKE BAY
01 May 2007

The Inn at Perry Cabin in St Michaels, Maryland, has announced that it’s new 6,000 square foot Linden Spa will open on 30th June, 2007.   The spa is named after the large Linden trees that line the brick driveway leading to the hotel and whose blooms will be used in some of the spa’s signature treatments.

The Linden spa is being built in the same Colonial style of architecture as The Inn at Perry Cabin in a palate of cream, brown and blue accented with botanical prints and pressed flowers harvested from the Inn’s lush grounds.

A full range of treatments will be offered that will focus on pampering, rejuvenation and wellness.  Signature treatments will include a massage using clay and linden flowers to moisturize and balance the skin; an indigo herbal compress massage to relieve muscle pain and tension; and a bio peptide facial that draws on the healing benefits of plants and herbs.

While at the spa, guests will be able to rest in the indoor or outdoor relation rooms, take a dip in the infinity edge pool, detoxify in a steam room, find harmony in a yoga class, fine tune their fitness routine with a personal trainer or find that little pampering something to take home at the spa’s apothecary.

Linden trees were initially brought to the United States from Europe by early settlers and their white and yellow blooms were coveted for their beauty, medicinal purposes and bountiful honey and beeswax harvests.

The Inn at Perry Cabin is an elegant circa 1816 waterfront property located on 25 acres overlooking the Miles River, a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay.  The hotel is a short stroll from the history-steeped town of St. Michaels, Maryland and an easy one hour drive from either Baltimore or Washington, DC.  It has 80 guest rooms, each individually decorated in either a traditional style indicative of the historic section of the Inn, or in a style that evokes the contemporary Maryland seaside with a mixture of modern and period furniture and a palate of taupes, soft blues and ivories.  The restaurant, decorated in a nautical style, overlooks the waterfront, and boasts the award-winning cuisine of Executive Chef Mark Salter.  The serene landscape of water and sky is complimented by intricate and exquisite grounds, which include brick lanes and arches, white columns, lavish gardens, pathways, and a horizon edge outdoor pool. www.perrycabin.com.
