Saturday - Bangkok
Bangkok in the Superior River Wing room at The Mandarin Oriental for three nights.

Sunday - Bangkok
Half-day Grand Palace and Bangkok Canals on a day of your choice.

Monday - Bangkok

Tuesday - Eastern Oriental Express to Vientiane
Depart Bangkok early afternoon. Relax in one of the bar cars, the saloon car or the privacy of your compartment. Afternoon tea is served as you travel into northern Thailand. Enjoy dinner and overnight on board.
Thursday this morning, the train arrives at the Friendship Bridge, linking Thailand with Laos. The newly opened part of the railway allows the Eastern & Oriental Express to cross directly into Vientiane, arriving at Thanaleng Station around 9.30am. Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of the Lao capital, including lunch at a local hotel. Return to the train for an evening departure. Dinner and overnight on board as the train returns to the Thai capital.

Wednesday - Eastern Oriental Express to Vientiane
The train arrives after breakfast at Hin Dat. Disembark for a tour to Phimai, a World Heritage Site and one of the most important Khmer monuments in Thailand. Return to the train for lunch and continue to Khao Yai. Here visit local vineyards and have the opportunity to taste “new latitude wines”. Rejoin the train in the early evening in time for dinner.

Thursday - Vientiane
Arrive in Bangkok after breakfast. Morning orientation tour en route to the hotel. One night Vientiane with a Deluxe room at the Settha Palace Hotel.

Friday - Luang Prabang
Flight to Luang Prabang with Lao Airlines for three nights in a Deluxe Mountain View room at La Résidence.
(Breakfast & Dinner included).
Saturday - Luang Prabang
Full-day city tour with lunch on a day of your choice.

Sunday - Luang Prabang
Further optional sightseeing available on request.
