A car and guide are at your disposal for a full day to explore Chiang Mai and its surroundings.

Visit golden temples, fabulous markets or relax at your hotel.

Wednesday to Thursday - Eastern & Oriental Express -

Board the Eastern & Oriental Express this afternoon and after settling into your Pullman Cabin for afternoon tea before dinner plus a night on board.

(Breakfast and dinner included).


Thursday - Eastern & Oriental Express -

The train arrives this morning in Sawankhaloke, where you visit Si Satchanalai, part of the northernmost citadel of the ancient Khmer empire. Explore the impressive 13th-century Buddhist temples. Return to the train at Sila At for lunch as your journey continues. Mid afternoon disembark at Lampang for a horse-drawn carriage ride to Baan Sao Nok – “the house of many pillars”. Enjoy tea as you tour the house, built in traditional Lana style. Return to the train to prepare for dinner and a final night on board.

Friday - Eastern & Oriental Express and Bangkok

Arrive in Bangkok for three nights in the Superior River Wing room at The Mandarin Oriental including.
