This will be only the second time in 400 years that the Globe Theatre Company will perform outside the theatre’s confines, and the 9th July performance is an exclusive performance for the guests of the Orient-Express British Pullman and Northern Belle.
Presenting a symphony of intricate marquetry, inlaid mosaic floors, sparkling crystal and beautiful Art Deco design, passengers can expect an unforgettable day out. On the 9th July, guests will be welcomed aboard the British Pullman and Northern Belle with a Bellini before enjoying a delicious brunch as the scenery gently passes by. On arrival at Leeds Castle guests will watch Shakespeare's classic romantic comedy, “The Winter's Tale” on the Pavilion Lawn. For the return journey, guests will be welcomed back onboard with a chilled glass of Champagne before being treated to a scrumptious four course champagne dinner.

Notes to Editor:
1 - The British Pullman carriages that form the London-Folkestone-London section of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express were once part of world famous trains like the “Golden Arrow” and the “Brighton Belle”. The elegant interiors have been painstakingly refurbished using original materials wherever possible, thus maintaining the historic authenticity and atmosphere of the carriages. Seven Pullmans and two baggage cars were originally restored for the inaugural journey of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express in 1982 with 4 more subsequently joining the rake making a total of 11 dining cars. Later that year a programme of day excursions throughout Britain was created and now the British Pullman train is almost in daily use throughout the year.
2 – Northern Belle was publicly launched in January 2000 and commenced its operations with its inaugural on 31May 2000. The first classic luxury train of the millennium, Northern Belle revels in the bygone era of the golden age of travel. Its name reflects the great ‘Belle’ trains of the 1930s, and with each carriage bearing the name of a significant stately home or castle, and furnished with commissioned designs, fabrics and marquetry, it is truly a celebration of British heritage and skills.
