Cipriani's 50th Anniversary Celebration
It was on May 26, 1958 that Commendatore Giuseppe Cipriani, founder of the renowned Harry’s Bar in Venice, opened the Hotel Cipriani on the island of Giudecca. At the time, the price for a room was 8,000 Italian Lire and a Bellini cost 500 Italian Lire! In 50 years the Hotel Cipriani has become one of the most exclusive hotels in the world.

The New Fortuny Bar
During the restoration of the formal bar of the Cipriani, wonderful arches were discovered under the ceiling. Our decorator, Michel Jouannet, has uncovered these vaults and created an atmosphere inspired by Mariano Fortuny, which will complete the nearby Fortuny Restaurant and the connecting "Cigar Room", also newly redecorated.
