Safety and Security

The Westcliff is under constant surveillance, with security patrols around the clock offering additional peace of mind.   Enclosed parking, private room safes in all rooms.   Large items and firearm storage is available on request.  
As in other countries, we ask that you take the following basic precautions to ensure your stay is a pleasant and safe one:

• Avoid obvious displays of expensive jewellery, cameras and other valuables. 
• Do not carry large sums of cash on you and take care of cellphones, purses, handbags and computers – do not leave them lying around. 
• Store valuables in the hotel safe deposit box.

• Hand in your keys whenever you leave the hotel. Let the hotel or tourism office recommend a reliable taxi service, transfer services and/or tour operating services. 
• When travelling in a car, keep doors locked at all times and preferably, wind up the windows. 
• Lock valuables in the boot/trunk of your car – do not leave handbags and valuables on the passenger seats. 
• At night, park in well-lit areas. 
• Do not pick up strangers. 
• When utilizing an ATM Cash Dispenser, do not accept help from strangers.
