Head Gardener - Anne Marie Owens
Anne Marie Owens joined Le Manoir team in July 1985 as a student gardener for six weeks during the summer holidays from Horticultural College.
Enjoying her summer job, Anne Marie asked to stay on for a further twelve months to increase her practical skills under the guidance of Albert Ring, Head Gardener.
|
At the age of twenty-four Anne Marie became Head Gardener, having gained invaluable experience from a host of consultants that have helped develop Le Manoir gardens into what they are today. From creating a Japanese tea garden with Robert Ketchell, to constructing a stand at Chelsea Flower Show 1999, which was awarded with a Silver Gilt Medal.
"The garden has presented many exciting and sometimes daunting opportunities over the past years, which could not have been achieved without the skill, hard work, commitment and good will of the gardening team." Our Gardeners team: Anne-Marie Owens
