No matter how long your trip is to New Orleans, you can full take advantage of all this exciting destination has to offer and is so internationally known for.
Day 1- Take a sunrise walk along the river to Café du Monde and indulge in those famous beignets and cafe au lait
- Hop on a city tour to explore New Orleans deep-rooted history, architecture and geography
- Grab a world-famous po' boy at one of the oldest establishments in New Orleans - Mother's - located just out the back door of the Windsor Court
- Wander the French Quarter as you shop for high end antiques and art
Day 2
- Explore the Warehouse/Arts District and peruse the local galleries or the largest collection of World War II memorabilia at the National World War II Museum
- Enjoy a bowl of gumbo back at the hotel or one of the many local eateries
- Take a cruise down the Mississippi to enjoy the vistas and learn the history of this great port city
- Stroll down Frenchmen Street in the Faubourg Marigny, the best neighborhood to find local jazz
Day 3
- Ride the streetcar Uptown along St. Charles and enjoy the picturesque setting of this oak-lined street with its antebellum mansions and other notable architecture
- Hop off the line and enjoy a day at the zoo or stroll along Magazine Street, filled with cafés, boutique shops and art galleries
- Dine at one of the oldest eateries in New Orleans. Then, wander Bourbon Street and experience why New Orleans is so known for its vibrant nightlife
Day 4
- Get a little way out of the city and charter a historic plantation tour as you discover the Old River Road
- Hop on the Canal Street streetcar and explore the widest street in the US on your way to the New Orleans Museum of Art and Sculpture Garden
- Take a cooking class and learn of the Cajun and Creole traditions that have made our city one of the best culinary destinations in the country. Then, taste the many reasons why.
Day 5
- Tour Blaine Kern's Mardi Gras World and take a behind-the-scenes look at where these massive floats are kept and created for the country's largest Carnival celebration
- Indulge in some chargrilled oysters or barbequed shrimp, a New Orleans specialty
- Take a carriage ride through the French Quarter as you learn about the history and architecture of this European-based city
- Catch dinner and a show at the legendary Jazz Club, Snug Harbor, home to such notables as Irvin Mayfield and Charmaine Neville
