Return to Miraflores and go back in time at the casa Garcia Alvarado, built in 1912 and recently recognized as a national heritage building. The Alvarado house, located in the heart of this traditional area is a living example of the Republican architecture. Enjoy a fabulous set lunch menu in this enchanting setting with your host Ana Maria Garcia Alvarado, the owner of the house. After lunch relax and indulge in a soothing Bath Butler Service or simply enjoy Lima at your own pace. In the evening delight yourself with an extravagant a la carte dinner at Poissonnerie, our signature restaurant, where you will be able to taste the innovative fusion of Peruvian and European flavors that our menu has to offer.
Day 3
Morning transfer has been arranged to Pachacamac, a pre-Inca archaeological sanctuary located 30km (19 miles) south of Lima. This temple was dedicated to Pachacamac; considered by Peruvian ancient cultures to be God and creator of the world. Access to this area was only permitted to ancient priests. Return to the hotel for an a la carte lunch at La Terrasse, with stylish outdoor seating. We suggest the daily fresh Peruvian seafood; have it cooked your way. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. For dinner choose from one of the dine-around options that we offer in Lima.
Day 4
This morning you will be transferred to the airport, where you will take Lan Peru’s 320 Airbus on your one-hour flight to Cusco. On arrival, we have arranged reception and transfer to the Hotel Monasterio, the hallowed colonial San Antonio Abad seminary, built more than 300 years ago. You will be welcomed with a comforting cup of hot coca tea and escorted to your Junior Suite. Spend two evenings in a junior suite with oxygen enrichment system to help you acclimatize to the high altitude in Cusco (11,000 feet - 3,352.8 meters). A la carte lunch will be served at the main courtyard. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure to acclimatize to the altitude. Later on this afternoon, experience a thirty-minute coca leaf reading, an ancient and enigmatic activity performed by Aymaras, Quechuas and many other Andean cultures. Later on today enjoy the innovative “novo-andina” cuisine with an a la carte dinner at MAP café, located in a unique setting at the new Pre-Columbian Art Museum. This extraordinary historic building holds the only museum in Peru dedicated to raising the profile of the arts of ancient Peruvian cultures. Or you may choose to dine at one of the other dine-around options in Cusco.
Day 5
This morning we will visit the archaeological site of Tipón, seat of an ancient capital; dedicated to agricultural discovery. Afterwards step into a fabled experience where you’ll encounter a magical session by a Peruvian Shaman. Enlightened ones or Shamans are ancient priests whose main aim is to obtain self discovery or spiritual awakening for other human beings. At noon a deluxe picnic basket will be provided to continue the natural, outdoors experience. Spend this afternoon at leisure. Tonight experience an unforgettable evening at our signature restaurant Illariy, enjoying an a la carte candlelit dinner with soft music and the restaurant’s magnificent cuisine.
Day 6
Morning transfer will be arranged to Poroy’s train station, twenty five-minutes away from Cusco. We will then travel to Machu Picchu via the luxurious Hiram Bingham train; enjoy brunch and mimosas on board. At 12:30 pm the train will arrive in Aguas Calientes where the guides will take you up to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu by private bus. Upon arrival check-in for a one-night stay at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge located in a privileged area right at the entrance to this magnificent site. Check-in is followed by a two-hour tour around one of the most outstanding archaeological wonders of the world. Upon returning to the hotel enjoy an exquisite English style afternoon tea with an assortment of chilled and hot drinks, petit fours and mini snacks. Afterwards indulge in a replenishing massage session. This evening experience unforgettable moments at the hotel's signature restaurant, Tampu, enjoying a three-course candle light dinner with soft music and the restaurant's signature cuisine.
Day 7
Enjoy magnificent dawns from this advantaged location and get ready to embark on an early walk to Inti Punku; the sun’s gate. Once you get to this mystical location focus on your surroundings and try a replenishing meditation, to lift up your spirit and enliven your senses. This afternoon have lunch at Tampu restaurant. We will then transfer you to Aguas Calientes train station to travel back to Cusco via the lush Hiram Bingham train. Enjoy a sophisticated gourmet dinner on board. Upon arrival at Poroy, a private transfer will await to take you to the Hotel Monasterio for a two-night stay in a junior suite with oxygen enrichment system.
Day 8
Today you will be able to spend the entire day at leisure and discover the city of Cusco at your own pace. Return to enjoy an a la carte lunch that will be served at the main courtyard. This afternoon indulge in a luxurious twenty-minute massage that will make you feel as lavish as Incan royalty. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. This evening we will visit the Archbishop’s Palace with its private colonial oil painting collection; thereafter return to the Monasterio hotel to enjoy an exquisite dinner at Illariy.
Day 9
Morning transfers to the airport have been organized for your 320 Airbus Lan Peru flight to Lima; where a day-room has been prepared at the Miraflores Park Hotel for your convenience. In the afternoon enjoy a visit to Mari Solari’s folk-art shop and private art collection followed by a personalized shopping tour in the bohemian and romantic district of Barranco; with its antique republican constructions and artsy shops. Or you may indulge in to a luxurious massage. Later on take a private transfer to Lima's International Airport to take your return flight back.
