The Grand Hotel Europe has added one more award to its collection of well-deserved accolades. World Travel Awards – the international organization whose aim is to encourage world-class competition, stimulate innovation and creativity as well as ensure that travelers receive exceptional value – has announced the hotel as the winner in the Europe’s Leading Luxury Hotel nomination. The European award ceremony took place on October 17 in Obidos, Portugal.
The World Travel Awards were launched in 1993, and are now regarded as the very highest achievement that a travel product could ever hope to receive. The voters are travel professionals from 183 000 travel agencies, tour and transport companies and tourism organizations in over 160 countries across the world.
The voters are urged to take into consideration not only their personal dealings with a company but also underlying issues such as consistent business success, total understanding of visitor needs and high customer satisfaction level. Over time, the World Travel Awards has become the industry champion to drive up the standards and to ensure that travel companies consistently exceed expectations. As a result, more and more consumers note the award winners when planning a vacation.
