Your Journey | Watch the countryside unfold as you travel along the scenic Pennine Railway before visiting the Royal Seat of the Kings of Northumbria. Spanning nine acres of land on its rocky plateau high above the Northumberland coastline Bamburgh is one of the largest inhabited castles in the country. Experience the sights, stories and atmosphere of millennia of history. From wooden palisades to the present stone built fortress, Bamburgh Castle has kept watch over the impressive coastline 150 feet below for many centuries.
A delicious brunch with Bellini is served on the outward journey. On arrival at Alnmouth station you are met by your guide who accompanies you on the transfer to Bamburgh Castle. Here you are free to explore the many fine rooms at your own pace.
Rejoin the Northern Belle at Alnmouth where you are welcomed aboard with a glass of chilled champagne. Later, a sumptuous dinner is served accompanied by half a bottle of wine. |

Access | There are two wheelchair accessible toilets in the grounds. One is located between the Crewe Museum and the First Small Room in the main castle buildings. The Second is located adjacent to the main toilet facilities in the stable block.
