Three days aboard the luxury sailing yacht Orient Express Corinthian

The coastline recedes and light dances across a tranquil Mediterranean. Time seems to stretch beneath three soaring sails, opening the way for curiosity and the simple joy of being elsewhere. Seventy-two hours aboard Orient Express Corinthian begin with a shift in perspective, an invitation to experience French savoir-faire reinvented at sea.

For three days, the destination itself remains aboard. Conceived as a floating palace, this luxury sailing yacht carries the Orient Express spirit into a new realm, where intuitive service and a mythical aura shape every fleeting moment.

Day 1: Embrace a new sense of time

The first afternoon deserves to unfold without haste. The gaze lingers over the details, over the polished wood, over the softness of the materials and the clear light gliding across the windows. Luggage is discreetly attended by the butler service, while a carefully chosen drink arrives.

Evening begins beneath the sails at Le Flybridge, where sweeping views of the horizon reveal themselves in absolute comfort, or continues in the more hushed and intimate atmosphere of Le Speakeasy.

Later, La Table de l’Orient Express unveils the culinary artistry of multi-starred Michelin chef, Yannick Alléno. Guided by a relentless pursuit of excellence, he orchestrates each experience with the precision of a maestro. Beneath soaring six-metre ceilings, Emmanuel Barrois’ glass creations draw the eye, while a refined interplay of textures and flavours defines the first dinner of the Voyage.

Naturally, nothing says the evening must end there. Conversation may extend over a cocktail at Le Wagon Bar, where live music lends a gentle energy to the night. Follow the melody to Le Salon de Musique, brought to life by resident musicians in an atmosphere both cozy and electric. Sip a nightcap to the rhythm of a live performance, or retire to the twenty-seat private cinema for a specially selected film.

Day 2: From Mediterranean shores to Le SPA by Guerlain

Now comfortably settled in, the day flows in any number of ways. Possibilities take shape according to your wishes. Perhaps a Pilates session, a yoga class or a tailored workout at Le Gymnase, before breakfast on the terrace.

Then the Mediterranean beckons you ashore. Aboard a Pascoe limousine tender, noble materials and refined lines carry the spirit of Orient Express Corinthian all the way to land. The passage towards a harbour, an artisan’s workshop or the quiet streets of a coastal town becomes a natural continuation of the Voyage.

Back aboard the luxury sailing yacht, lunch follows a gentler pace. At L’Encre, shellfish and the ocean’s finest offerings come into their own. The afternoon continues at Le SPA by Guerlain, where treatments, the hammam, sauna and tepidarium compose an exceptional Mediterranean experience, conceived as a serene interlude before your day resumes its course.

After dinner at La Terrasse, where international influences meet within an Art Deco space, La Bibliothèque and its collection of around 1,500 volumes invite you to linger in a quieter moment. The evening may then lead you to La Salle des Cartes for a game of chess or backgammon.

Day 3: Follow your own rhythm

By the third morning, Orient Express Corinthian feels instinctively familiar. Breakfast may be savoured in the privacy of your suite, before the day moves beneath the open sky with a few lengths in Le Couloir de Nage, a 54-foot open-air lap lane overlooking one of the luxury sailing yacht’s masts. Afterwards, La Piscine welcomes a pause over a light bite or a refreshing drink.

So much still awaits discovery. At Le Cellier, a glass-fronted wine cellar stands opposite an artfully arranged tea counter. Through private tastings and workshops, aromas, vintages and grands crus reveal their finest nuances.

For sweeping Mediterranean views and a more convivial setting, L’Étrave reveals a secluded retreat behind the wheelhouse, where a selection of cocktails accompanies a panoramic view. As sunset approaches, the final evening finds its own elegant simplicity, inspired by the French Art de Vivre.

Three days aboard Orient Express Corinthian, an exceptional experience, and the freedom to author a Voyage of your own.
