From Portofino’s elegant harbour to Venice’s palazzi and waterways, from Florence and its Renaissance treasures to the timeless grandeur of Rome, each chapter reveals a different facet of Italy’s cultural heritage. The journey then turns towards the Mediterranean, from Porto Cervo and Bonifacio to the refined shores of Capri, before reaching Naples, where history and Southern Italian character come together.

La Dolce Vita Orient Express

From Rome, La Dolce Vita Orient Express travels north through the Tuscan countryside towards the Ligurian coast. After a lunch by three-Michelin-starred Chef Heinz Beck, the journey continues to Portofino, where an afternoon unfolds between the harbour, colourful façades and sea views. The train then travels through the night towards Venice, where the following day offers time to explore the city before continuing to Florence and its Renaissance heritage. Back on board, the journey returns south through Tuscany to Rome.

Setting sail from Rome, Orient Express Corinthian follows the Italian coast towards the islands and shores of the south. The route unfolds through Porto Cervo, Bonifacio and Capri, between the clear waters of Sardinia, the rugged coast of Corsica and the volcanic landscapes of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Between time on the water and discoveries ashore, the journey reveals a Mediterranean shaped by islands, ancient towns and the light of the southern coast, before reaching Naples.
