The journey begins in Rome, where La Dolce Vita Orient Express departs from Ostiense Station, leaving the city behind as it travels north through Italy's winter landscapes. Lunch is served on board before arriving in Venice in the early evening, where private boats escort guests through the canals to the newly opened Orient Express Venezia. Here, an exclusive festive celebration awaits, with live music and a festive dinner served within the beautifully restored Palazzo, before returning to the train just after midnight.

The following day, breakfast is enjoyed on board as the journey continues towards Florence. Spend the morning relaxing in your cabin or taking part in a special festive activity before arriving in the heart of the Renaissance city. Explore Florence at your own pace or join an optional guided walk through its historic streets, beautifully decorated for the festive season and home to traditional markets, local crafts and seasonal flavours. Back on board, another festive evening unfolds with dinner, live entertainment and music as the train makes its way back towards Rome. On the final morning, wake to breakfast as La Dolce Vita Orient Express completes its journey through the Italian countryside. Arriving back at Rome Ostiense, the experience comes to a close, leaving you with memories of festive celebrations, remarkable destinations and the unique pleasure of discovering Italy by rail during its most joyful season.

Day 1

An exclusive event at Orient Express Venezia

Your festive journey begins with a private transfer from your hotel or the airport to the La Dolce Vita Lounge at Rome Ostiense, which opens three hours before departure, offering a welcoming space to relax before boarding. As La Dolce Vita Orient Express departs Rome, settle into your private cabin and watch Italy’s winter landscapes unfold while enjoying a lunch in the Restaurant Car, crafted by three-Michelin-starred Chef Heinz Beck.

In the early evening, arrive in Venice, where local hosts welcome you and escort you by private boat through the city’s canals to the newly opened Orient Express Venezia.

Here, the highlight of the journey awaits. For one unforgettable and exclusive evening, the hotel opens its doors for guests of La Dolce Vita Orient Express. Once home to Venetian nobility and now the newest jewel in the Orient Express collection, the palace provides the setting for a festive celebration with live music and an exceptional multi-course dinner, celebrating the warmth, flavours and traditions of the Italian festive season.

Later that evening, return by private boat to Santa Lucia Station. Shortly after midnight, La Dolce Vita Orient Express departs Venice, as the celebrations continue on board.

Florence

Day 2

Wake to breakfast served in your private cabin or in the Restaurant Car as the train journeys through the Italian countryside. Spend the morning unwinding on board or enjoy a special festive activity before gathering once again for lunch, crafted by three-Michelin-starred Chef Heinz Beck.

In the afternoon, arrive in Florence, where the city welcomes you with beautifully decorated streets, festive markets and Renaissance landmarks. Enjoy time at leisure to explore at your own pace or join an optional guided walking experience through the historic centre, discovering local traditions, artisan stalls and seasonal flavours.

As evening falls, return to the train for another memorable night aboard. Dinner, once again created by Chef Heinz Beck, is followed by an evening of entertainment featuring a magician, a DJ and live saxophone as La Dolce Vita Orient Express begins its journey back towards Rome.

As dawn gently breaks, enjoy a peaceful breakfast served in the serene comfort of your private cabin or within the elegant embrace of the onboard restaurant. The morning unfolds slowly as the train carries you back toward Rome.Here, your enchanting Festive journey draws to a close, but the memories linger, wrapped in the soft glow of winter lights and the warmth of shared moments.
