Italian Icons

Your journey begins in Rome, where the Eternal City slowly fades behind you as La Dolce Vita Orient Express sets off towards the north of Italy. The first highlight unfolds across the Tuscan countryside, where a Michelin-starred lunch by Chef Heinz Beck is served on board as rolling landscapes pass by your window. Continuing towards the Ligurian coast, you reach Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino, where the pace slows and time opens onto the harbour, pastel façades, and sea views. In the evening, the train travels north through the night with dinner and live entertainment on board.
Day two is spent in Venice, where canals, reflections, and quiet waterways reveal the atmosphere of La Serenissima before the journey continues overnight across Italy. On the third day, Florence welcomes you into the heart of the Renaissance, with its art, architecture, and river views shaping the final chapter of the journey. Later that day, you return to Rome, where the experience comes to an end in the Eternal City.
