On the second day, awake to the train’s gentle rhythm and enjoy an authentic Italian breakfast. Arriving in Santa Margherita Ligure, transfer to Portofino for leisure time. In the evening, it's time to embark again. The day concludes with an elegant onboard dinner with exquisite cuisine, live music, and a refined ambiance. Day 1
Your journey begins in Rome with a private transfer from your hotel or airport to the exclusive La Dolce Vita Lounge at Roma Ostiense. Here, you are warmly welcomed into a refined setting, the perfect prelude to boarding La Dolce Vita Orient Express.
As the train departs in the morning, settle into your cabin and embrace the unhurried rhythm of the journey. Shortly thereafter, the Restaurant Car invites you to a gourmet lunch crafted by three-Michelin-starred Chef Heinz Beck. Inspired by Italian culinary traditions and seasonal ingredients, each course reflects balance, elegance, and a deep respect for provenance.
In the late afternoon, the train arrives in Venice. Local assistants accompany you into the heart of La Serenissima, where time is yours to explore at leisure or to enjoy curated à la carte experiences designed to reveal the city’s timeless beauty. As night falls, return on board and allow the train to depart quietly toward the Ligurian coast, carrying you through the night in comfort and tranquility.
Portofino
Day 2
Awaken to the gentle motion of the train and begin the day with an Italian breakfast served in your cabin or in the elegant Restaurant Car. As the train arrives in Santa Margherita Ligure, local assistants welcome you and escort you toward the coast.
A dedicated transfer brings you to Portofino, one of Italy’s most iconic seaside destinations. Enjoy time at your own pace, strolling along the harbor, taking in panoramic views, or choosing from exclusive optional experiences that capture the essence of the Riviera’s refined lifestyle.
In the evening, return on board La Dolce Vita Orient Express. As the landscape darkens outside, a sophisticated dinner awaits in the Restaurant Car, once again curated by Chef Heinz Beck. The evening unfolds with live music, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere. Later, the Bar Car offers the perfect setting to relax before retiring to your cabin as the train begins its overnight journey back toward Rome.

The final morning begins in serenity with an indulgent Italian breakfast served on board, either in the privacy of your cabin or in the Restaurant Car. Take time to savor the last moments of the journey as the train glides toward Rome Ostiense.
Upon arrival, disembark with the sense of having experienced Italy through a rare lens — where art, cuisine, and landscapes come together in effortless harmony. Though the journey comes to an end, its elegance and memories remain long after your return.
